Q&A

Why hire a marketeer?

Whether it is a temporary position, leading a specific project or providing support to a marketing team during peak periods, the use of an interim marketeer is desirable. From operational marketing tasks to strategic advice, I am flexible where needed. I can quickly adapt to your organization and processes, work closely with the existing team and ensure that marketing activities continue seamlessly.

I can easily do marketing myself, right?

Sure, if you have the time and knowledge for it. As a marketeer, I see that this is often lacking in organizations, but they still want to tackle it themselves. The result is usually ineffective, incoherent marketing; a missed opportunity. Specialized knowledge and dedicated time really make the difference!

How can marketing contribute to sales?

In summary, marketing can provide more visibility, a better image, or a call to action (encouraging the target group to take action, which can vary from a purchase to subscribing to a newsletter). Everything the target group sees and hears has an effect on one or more of these three goals. Through the right marketing, you ensure that the target group sees and hears the right messages. Once your brand is in the right place in their minds, the target group is more likely to smoothly enter the sales funnel.

How long does the strategy development process take?

This depends on the complexity of the underlying question and how much information is already available within an organization. On average, setting up a strategic plan takes 120 to 150 hours. From market analysis to positioning, from brand values to proposition and from target group analysis to brand strategy, everything is covered. Up to and including buyer persona(s) and a content calendar if desired.

We already have a strategic plan. What can you do for us?

Great! As a marketeer, I often notice that it is difficult for organizations to translate strategy into daily tasks. It is a shame if a plan remains on the proverbial shelf, so I am happy to help implement this plan in the organization, in line with the expertise, experience and manpower available in your organization.

What are the next steps after the strategic plan is completed?

In order to give shape to the practical implementation of the plan in the organization and to ensure its continuity, it is possible to schedule quarterly meetings, monthly meetings or even weekly stand-up meetings (digital or live). This ensures that the plan comes to life and remains alive in your organization, and that the overarching idea behind the plan is not lost sight of.

What do I need to start a strategic trajectory?

First of all, time to inform me. I will indicate what input I need. Input can also be given in the form of interviews. In addition, a budget is needed for the hours that will be spent on it. Furthermore, it is not necessarily necessary to have an employee or specific knowledge available for this process. Of course, it is allowed; I like to work with whoever or whatever is already present in an organization.

Who is the workshop suitable for?

The workshops are always tailored to what your organization needs and who is present. From management workshops in which we work on (parts of) the marketing strategy, to operational workshops that ensure a powerful brand experience from the entire organization.

Can you also create marketing materials, write texts and take on other marketing related tasks?

Sure! And if this doesn’t quite fit in terms of expertise or time, I can recommend a creative agency that I work with.

How much does it cost?

The costs for setting up a strategic plan depend on how many hours of work it takes. The more complex the question and the more it needs to be explored, the more hours it takes. On average, you can assume 120 to 150 hours for a strategic plan. This indication includes mission/vision workshop(s), target group analysis, developing buyer personas, competitor analysis, determining positioning, developing strategic guidelines, making practical translation, etc. It’s the total package from A to Z. The more input already exists, the fewer hours are needed in total.
My hourly rate for this is €85 per hour. If it concerns a longer-term (interim) trajectory, the hourly rate is often lower, depending on the nature of the work and the duration of the trajectory.
